Your Thanksgiving Laugh for today

I got this email recently and since I host a recipe exchange website, I had to share it. If you are one of those people who are inexperienced at cooking the Thanksgiving Bird and have been searching avidly for the perfect recipe, you will appreciate this email...and laugh out loud! Now I know we all weren't born as perfect little cooks and most of us learned by trial and error. If you have a great turkey disaster or Thanksgiving horror story and are willing to share, respond back to this blog. You know we all felt your pain at one point in time. LOL! The holidays can be stressful can't they? It sure helps to know that there are other people out there who have had horror stories too. :)

Now on with the laugh for today:

Here is a turkey recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a stuffing -- imagine that. When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people like me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out. Give this a try.

BAKED STUFFED TURKEY

Ingredients:
14 - 15 lb. TURKEY
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is Good.)
2 cups uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHER'S LOW FAT)
Salt/pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush turkey well with melted butter , salt, and pepper. Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with the neck end toward the back of the oven. Listen for the popping sounds. When the turkey's butt blows the oven door open and the turkey flies across the room, it's done.

And, you thought I couldn't cook...
